PILATES BARRE

Pilates Barre Classes are a fusion of Pilates and Ballet Barre Strengthening exercises. Unlike other Barre classes, Pilates Barre runs at a slower pace, focusing on the strength and technique of the move rather than the cardio factor. Pilates Barre emphasizes the use of Core Stability and Breathe to address each move and strongly follows Pilates Principals.
Pilates is a form of fitness that conditions the body through flexibility, muscle strength and Endurance. There is a great emphasis on developing a strong Core or 'Powerhouse' whilst focusing on proper spinal and pelvic alignment and breath. Pilates is known to improve balance and coordination and assist in rehabilitation.
Pilates can be taught in different levels according to experience and strength of participants. Levels can be modified in a range of difficulaty from Beginners to Advanced, increasing intensity over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.
